Conservative Balanced Strategy Overview
Objectives: The Brady Investment Counsel Conservative Balanced Strategy
seeks regular income, low principal volatility and some opportunity for
capital and income growth at an average long term rate greater than inflation.
Strategy: Our Conservative Balanced Strategy invests in a mix of equity and fixed
income securities. Equity securities are included to add the potential of long term
principal and income growth. Fixed income investments provide regular income
and portfolio stability. The balance between equity and fixed income depends on
client investment objective and risk tolerance.
Equities investments can range from 10%-50% of the portfolio. The remainder of
the portfolio is invested in high quality fixed income securities and cash. Our equity
investments are designed to meet individual client needs. Equity selection is based
on the Brady Investment Counsel Core Growth Strategy. We can also use mutual
funds and/or exchange traded funds (ETFs) for investors who are not comfortable
with individual company investments.
Fixed income investments are made in high quality individual securities, mutual
funds and/or ETFs. Our fixed income investments represent our best thinking on
the future direction of rates.
The Conservative Balanced Strategy is Appropriate for: institutions, foundations and individuals seeking low portfolio volatility while achieving long- term growth of principal and income at or above the rate of inflation. The typical investor is risk averse.
